We had Henry's 9 month well child check up today. The boy is 50th percentile for weight, and 90th in height. We are still trying to figure this one out! Does that actually correlate much with how tall he might grow to be one day?

In other news- I plan to some housekeeping around here soon. More than a couple of you have asked for an archives button so that you can find old posts, and maybe read some things in chronological order. I promise to get on that. Also I want to highlight some of our cool features in the past, like our guest posts on motherhood. Which I have personally been dying to re read.

In the mean time, I thank you for your patience.

xoxo

  1. Too funny! O is nine months old and 50th/90th weight/height percentile too. Looks like there's going to be an entire generation of bean poles.

  2. oh man, ben has that look of panic that joe always gets at cheech's well appointments.

we were still 90/90 at 9 months (she hasn't really budged since birth). i think they say that the best bet is to base a baby's eventual height/weight on what his or her's parents' height/weight is. seeing neither joe and i are 90/90, i'm assuming cheech isn't going to grow into xena the warrior princess.

  3. your kid is the cutest. Apart from that other kid that hangs around here, she's the cutest too.

We have no idea what the babies are measuring seeing as they haven't been weighed since they were 6 weeks old. The nhs is blissfully hands-off.

  4. Meret has been in the 80/50 range since birth. I keep hoping this means she will be tall like some of her relatives (not us!). You never know! :)

  5. Wolf has always been hovering around 40/90. I was always in the 90th percentile when I was a baby, too. dad is 6' 5", grandpa was 6' 9", so naturally they thought I would be tall. I was always the tallest girl in class until I capped out in 7th grade at 5' 5". so I guess you never know!

  6. I'm about to have a baby in a few weeks time & your blog has been great for prepping us for the baby bit. I've picked up so many useful tips from here. An archives button would be really useful. Thanks again xx

  7. No, it doesn't. I was 90th percentile for height and weight from babyhood on through elementary school. I was a HEFTY CHILD. And we all know how that turned out.
