{my two little guys, they get along great right now, anyways)

Today is two things: 1) My last day at work. 2) If you want to get technical, my "due date". (Honestly I wish the maternity care world would do away with that term all together. But since they have not, I can't help but acknowledge it.) I still think we have a week left, easy. The little guy is still floating happily above my pelvis. As I mentioned, I put away my to do list a couple of weeks ago. But in order to keep away boredom and anxiety of when is he coming I do have a list of want to do stuff. I might do all of it, or none of it. (Okay, the walking and stretching is pretty mandatory, and the reading is a given.) But when I do *nothing* I tend to get in a funk. No one wants that. So here is how I might be spending the next week or two.

*Buy a plant for the baby's room

*Shop for dog beds

*Read the Sunday Times

*Make a mobile

*Hang out with Ben

*photograph the baby's room for the blog

*play some ping pong

*go to the used gear sale

*Work on a baby announcement

*Walk, walk, walk

*Stretch, stretch, stretch

*Visit with friends

*Try to sew something

(and lots of rest, OF COURSE)

  1. ha, he will come before you know it. elodie was 4 days 'late' - enjoy the small amount of time and the one thing i would recommend of all of the above is buying a plant and organizing your photo collection. that was the best time i ever spent and you will most likely not do it after because you will be organizing all the baby photos!!

    have a beautiful weekend jamie!!

  2. Wow, 40 weeks! I totally want to see nursery pictures. And, OMG, I can't believed that you worked until your due date! You are intense ;) Take care xox

  3. LOVE the photo!
Don't forget to add "sleep" to the list. You won't be getting a lot of that once baby comes...
    Enjoy the adventure!

  4. Congratulations, you made it!

Also, awesome attitude for a woman who is passing her due date. Go you.

  5. oh my goodness, that is the cutest picture, ever!!!

  6. Very cute picture. Our old cat is long gone now, but you made me remember he used to do that too when I was pregnant with LP. That put a smile on my face this morning.

  7. i am freaking out. this photo is too much.
