    that is the most adorable. we told our parents over the phone too, but were SO nervous to do so... like they don't know we have sex or something. we're such weirdos.

    I think that I did it in the most horrible way ever: mom, dad, I was in a hold up yesterday, this man wanted to kill me with a knife on my neck...and I'm also pregnant!!!

    Aww, that's so cute! I feel like my husband and I will have to think of something clever, if only because we were sort of mean and sprung the engagement announcement on them over the phone from Amsterdam (blah blah about our trip, oh btw, we're engaged!). In fact, springing things on my parents has been my MO for years (cutting off my hip-length hair, buying a house...).
