Did you all know that if you leave baby poop stained items* out in the sun, the stain goes away? Like magic?

(Very useful information if you happen to say, wear your new white work pants in the morning while nursing the baby and he decides to um, lighten his load. And when his papa picks him up from your lap everything comes leaking out the side of the crappy disposables he has to wear at night. Onto your lap. Not that I would ever make such a mistake...)

*breastfed babies anyways, can't vouch for the formula. anyone?

  2. I know. It really is like magic. I haven't tried it with my own clothes (yet, at least) but it works great for the queen's cloth diapers.

  4. Sun bleaches all kind of stains. More or less everything. (Including the dye itself in fabrics, so only really good for whites but on whites, better than any stain remover.)

  8. Oh disposables were the worst for the milkfed poosplosions, poonamies, etc. Awful. So many outfits destroyed. I only began to love them when the poop got solid and the night peeing got epic. Those things absorb so much liquid it's crazy.

  9. Yup! The sun breaks down bilirubin. Are you guys cloth diapering? It's a great way to prevent those blow outs and if you add a hemp insert to a pocket diaper your baby should be able to last all night! Then you can see some magic every time you hang your diapers out to dry!

  10. Isn't it wonderful? Not the poop blow out part but the sun magic. We live in a climate of mostly overcast rainy days and still the poop stained cloth diaper inserts return to white.
