My girl got her first round of shots today. She didn't even flinch for the first one. For the second one, she let out a wail, we hugged and fed her, and she was fine... THAT IS until we got home and she broke down. Our hearts broke watching her in such misery. Our poor, sweet girl; she is so brave.

  1. Oh the darling. I will never forget Ammie's face when she got the first one, her mouth opened in a perfect O and she was too shocked to let out a single noise for a few seconds. Then she screamed and screamed and screamed for 20 seconds then fell asleep. That's pretty much been the pattern ever since. How crappy and ill they made them feel was much much worse.

  4. I just love your blog and have been following both of you here and on your individual blogs as well. I had my first baby on April 6th so I have really enjoyed reading about your experiences since we are on a very similar timeline! We are going next week for the first round of shots....kinda dreading it already! I hope your little peanut is feeling better today!

  6. Shots are the WORST. But the little ones are always so brave. Poor thing. Hope she feels better really soon.

  7. Man, the first round of shots were the pits. And then, the next time were also the pits. It doesn't seem to get easier....but the good news is that you're protecting her against all sorts of bad things.
